1. Introduction

 

With the increasingly development of big steel structure bridge project, importance on automatic manufacturing of U-rib is growing day by day because of the large demand and high requirements about productivity and welding quality. 2. Main Application and Suitable Range

 

  • The equipment mainly used for the U-rib assembly of Bridge-face plate. The work-piece will be placed on the assembly worktable, the U-rib plates are preliminary positioned by manual line marking, and then pressed the U-rib plates tightly by oil cylinder for spot welding. 
  • Suitable range:

      Faceplate width: 4000mm;
      Distance between U-ribs: 500—800mm;
      Work-piece length: 15000mm;

4. Detail Descriptions

 

  • Gantry is the frame of machine,the other parts are installed on the gantry frame. The functions of gantry frame are mainly for supporting the related parts and taking the parts travel with the welding speed. The downside of gantry frame has two traveling beam. Two sets of A.C. motors via reducers drive the gantry frame traveling on the rail. Two couples of wheels are lean against the rail side, which keeps steady traveling. Both sides of traveling end beam are equipped with track hold device, which ensure the machine cannot deviate from rail because of too big pressure during the work-piece clamping process. The hydraulic pump station and power distributor box and so on, are putted on the platform of gantry frame, which move together with the machine. 
  • Under the carriages, it is equipped with staff gauge, which can directly show the distance between five assembly heads, and convenient to suit for the different space between U-ribs and the width of panel. 
  • Electric control system consists of one electric control box and six operation boxes. The electric control box is installed on the gantry frame, one of the operation boxes is fixed on the front column of gantry frame, and the other five operation boxes are fixed on the assembly head device. All the motions can be realized by the controls of operation box.
